REGISTRATION OPEN FOR YOUTH SOCCER IN DELAND

Kids can kick off the new school year by joining Volusia County’s fall soccer league, which will play in DeLand Tuesdays and Thursdays from Sept. 23 to Nov. 18.

The Tiny Tots division, for 4- and 5-year-olds, will play from 4:45 - 5:30 p.m., while games for kids ages 6 - 15 will start at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.

The league is designed to teach and develop children’s ability to play soccer. The $50 fee includes a uniform T-shirt.

Payment and registration are required by Sept. 8. Parents can register their children from 4 - 6 p.m. Aug. 21, 22, 28 and 29 at DeLand Middle School or McInnis Elementary School. Registrants also can pay at Volusia County’s Parks, Recreation and Culture office, 202 N. Florida Ave., DeLand, or download a registration form at www.volusia.org/parks and mail a check and completed form.
