DELAND LIBRARY ANNOUNCES FALL YOUTH PROGRAMS

Fall programs for children and teens will begin Monday, Aug. 18, at the DeLand Area Public Library.

Story time will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays for children under 3 who can walk, and 10:30 a.m. Thursdays for pre-walkers. On Wednesdays, preschoolers ages 3-5 can take part in story time at 10:30 a.m. and play time at 11 a.m.

Kids ages 5-12 can play games at “Kids and Games” at 4 p.m. every Tuesday; watch a movie at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20; participate in “Dance Dance Revolution” at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27; and make crafts at 4 p.m. Thursdays.

Teen programming beings at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, with “Guitar Hero III,” followed by “Dance Dance Revolution Supernova” at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20. Teens also can participate in the Teen Advisory Board, which meets at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21.
