AFFORDABLE HOUSING ADVISORY COMMITTEE
TO MEET JULY 31

The newly formed Affordable Housing Advisory Committee will have its first meeting at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 31, in the Volusia County Council Chambers of the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, 123 W. Indiana Ave., DeLand.

Members will elect a chair and vice chair and hear staff presentations from Community Assistance Director Ed Jasper, Economic Development Director Rick Michael and Growth and Resource Management Director Greg Stubbs.

Committee members, appointed by the Volusia County Council in June, are Janet Bellows, Michelina Bowman, Lynn Kaiser Conrad, Richard Fraser, William Hansard, Tadd Kasbeer, Deborah Michaud, Frank Severino, Sara Truhlar, Richard Vincik and Rosemary Walker.

The advisory committee recommends initiatives to the County Council to facilitate affordable housing in Volusia County.

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Florida statutes, persons with disabilities who need special accommodation to participate in the proceedings should request assistance at least two business days before the meeting.
