HUMAN SERVICES SCHEDULES PUBLIC MEETING

Volusia County’s Human Services office will hold a public meeting from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, at the First United Methodist Church, 310 Douglas St., New Smyrna Beach.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide information about services provided by Human Services and to elect a representative from the community to serve on the Human Services Advisory Board. The advisory board assists in developing Community Service Block Grant program goals and objectives, identifying community needs, and evaluating program effectiveness.

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Florida Statutes, persons with disabilities needing special accommodation to participate in the proceedings should request assistance at least two business days before the meeting.
