CARPENTER AVENUE TO CLOSE TEMPORARILY

Carpenter Avenue between Ohio and Aspen avenues in Orange City will be closed from July 8 through Aug. 8 for construction.

Area businesses and homeowners have been notified of the closure, and electronic signs have been placed near the intersection alerting motorists.

The temporary closure is necessitated by road construction on Rhode Island Avenue between U.S. 17/92 and the new high school. Carpenter Avenue will be lowered at the intersection to meet the Rhode Island grade, and storm drainage is being placed under Carpenter Avenue.
